The Bolton Community
Education Foundation has presented a check for $500 to the
Bolton Center School Art Department that was combined with
other donations so that the school could purchase a new ceramics
kiln. In the top photo, from left, are former Foundation member Donna
Peterson, who managed grant requests; BCS art teacher Lisa
Argenta; and Beth Harney, Foundation chair.
The Foundation also presented
a check for $1,135 to the
Bolton High School Art Department so that the school could purchase a new
ceramics kiln.
In bottom photo, from left, are Foundation member Ruth Treat, art
teacher Karen Frechette, Foundation member Lee Williamson, and art
student David Virone, at a school-wide assembly at which the donation was
accepted.
The Bolton Women’s Club previously
donated $1,000 toward the kiln, but funds were not available in the school
budget to cover the balance of the purchase.
